What Are They?

These are 24 x warm LED rechargeable motion-sensing lights. They have three modes of operation.

  1. Sense motion and come on in light or dark. This is perfect for dull rooms or cupboards that still have some daylight coming into them and need to be lit at all times.

  2. Sense motion and come on only when it’s dark. Perfect for a night light.

  3. Permanently on. The remote allows you to set a sleep timer.

They are magnetic so will fit easily to any suitable metallic surface or can be fitted easily with the 3M magnetic adhesive strip attached to the back of each light.

The Good

  • Ten brightness levels so if you’re using these as night lights, you can drop the brightness right down and get amazing battery life.

  • Nice silver aluminium construction.

  • Very simple to fit anywhere with the stick-on magnetic strip.

  • Warm light (about 2700K-3000K) which is always nicer at night (make sure you select the warm light option).

  • Good sensitivity. They come on reliably and predictably when you move within the range.

  • The angle of detection is better than I expected.

  • Battery life is great. I’m still on my first charge after I put them up 10 days ago.

  • Rechargeable via USB so no need for any special charger.

  • Good brightness level. I use these on almost their lowest setting but they can pump out some light if needed.

The Bad

  • The 30 second time out is not long enough. This needs to be 60 seconds or adjustable to suit your needs. We use these in our bathrooms at night and find that they suddenly turn off, everything goes dark and you end up waving your hand around to get them to turn back on.

  • The brightness levels can only be adjusted using the remote control.

Conclusion

These are great. Really handy and so simple for anyone to set up and use. It’s really nice walking in the bathroom in the middle of the night and being greeted with low, gentle light as you walk through the door.

As I mentioned, they need to stay on longer (30 seconds is not enough) but it’s not a deal-breaker. It’s easy to get them to turn back on and so far they are otherwise working exactly as I wanted.
