Remove a white background in Photoshop
It's not uncommon to need to remove the white background from an image and make it transparent. This can be necessary to make it more presentable on a webpage or presentation. There are a number of ways of doing this within Photoshop but this tutorial shows a great alternative to e.g. using the selection tool or magic wand to roughly remove the white and simply rub it out. It creates superb results and I guarantee that you will use this method in future if you haven't already.
Online Project / Task Management Software
I am currently investigating good online task management software. I need it to categorise work, have details of jobs and who they came from as well as track the number of hours spent on a job and also provide good reporting either internal to the software or exportable for me to work on. There are a lot of options but finding one to fit these three simple things is actually incredibly difficult. Here I list the ones I have quickly looked at.

Timelapse options on the XF100 are a little strange. On first inspection, it appears to have some pretty flexible and solid options for timelapse photography with the Interval Record feature. Premiere Pro not using 100% CPU when encoding?
Encoding a timeline from Premiere takes a long time. That's why I find it annoying that Premiere Pro sometimes sits there encoding at a leisurely 45% CPU. This is a solution to that problem. I have also included a short video to show this problem and solution in action.
